How difficult for a women who is 4′ 10″ and 98lbs to pass the physical test to become a police officer?

A few years ago I took the test to become a corrections officer and past everything except for the mile run. I was having pain on my shin which I am working on to strengthen. The written test, I was told, I did very well. The physical is my only concern, I know after you pass the initial test, is the academy training. I am also 39 and healthy.

You sound like a good candidate. But you should look into a strong martial arts training course to compliment your academy training.

I have worked with a few feather weight women that backed up their stature with attitude and ability. This was after an inmate said if we came any closer he was going to grab her by the ankles and beat US with HER. She promptly kicked his @$$.
