Can I carry a knife in Hong Kong?
I have a Smith and Wesson safety razor, which is not spring operated, not a gravity knife. Opens with one hand using thumb pressure applied solely a thumb stud attached to the blade, and has a mechanism that provides resistance to be overcome in opening the leaf. It has a blade length of about 3 inches. Can I travel with it in my check-in luggage through the U.S. Federal and Hong Kong customs without too uncomfortable? PS: I know because I will not be processed when landing. So the answer, if you can you can, if you can not can not work here.
Yes you are allowed in checked baggage.
